Complete Mazda i-ACTIVSENSE with Adaptive LED Headlights


Mazda will show a new generation of evolution and safety system called Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH). This system will be displayed in the information technology and electronics exhibition CEATEC JAPAN 2014 in Tokyo, 7-11 October 2014.

ALH, part of a package of Mazda's advanced safety system, i-ACTIVSENSE, which implements various technologies of LED glare-free high beam. Mazda is the first manufacturer to introduce this system.

LED light source for the high beam is divided into four blocks which can be switched on and off independently, using the vehicle detection sensor camera from the front or rear lights of other cars in front.

The lights will also die when the highlight specific direction of other vehicles, making it possible to drive with high beams all the time and significantly improves visibility when driving at night without dazzling other drivers.

ALH also features a wide-distribution by adding LED low beams on the headlights, which expands the area of lighting on both sides of the vehicle are not covered headlights. This feature helps to see pedestrians and other objects at the intersection of the dark.

While Highway Mode with auto-leveling mechanism on the headlights automatically increase the lighting in the high speed corners, allowing the driver to see the road markings and signs early
